These are "samplers" of EL (electroluminescent wire. One is a wire diameter sampler (all of the wires glow a somewhat greenish "sky blue"); the other is a color sampler with nine (9) colors of EL wire.

They operate on 2 AA cells, have two modes (steady-on and fast blink), and come with a belt clip (why the clip? I honestly do not know! )

Size of product w/hand to show scale SIZE

Install two AA cells first (see directly below), and THEN you can go give somebody seizures.

On the left side of the unit (near the top) is a small slide switch. Slide it forward (toward the glow wire bundle) to turn the unit on in "steady-on" mode.

Pull the switch back (toward the bottom end of the unit) until it stops to turn the unit on in "fast blink" mode.

Finally, return the switch to the center position to turn the product off.

To change the AA cells, look on the front of the unit for a large battery door with a wide arrow and some horizontal lines embossed into it. Using your thumb to help "grip" the door on top of this embossing, slide it toward the bottom end of the unit until it comes off, carry it to the dustbin (kitchen garbage can), drop it in, remove the bin liner (plastic garbage bag) from the can, tie it off, carry it outside to the wheelie bin (wheeled outdoor garbage can) or the dipsty dumpster, wait for the dustman (garbage man) to drive by in his dust lorry (garbage truck) and empty the wheelie bin or dumpster, and drive away...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

Remove the two used-up old tired AA cells from the battery compartment, and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.

Insert two new AA cells into the compartment, orienting them so that their flat-ends (-) negatives face the springs for them in each chamber.

Slide the battery door back on, and be done with it.
Aren't you glad that you didn't huck that battery door into the dustbin now?

Current usage (in "steady-on" mode) measures 144mA (color sampler) and 127mA (size sampler).

These are EL (electroluminescent) wire samplers, not flashlights designed to be thrashed, trashed, and abused. So I won't throw them against the wall, stomp on them, try to drown them in the toliet bowl or the cistern (toliet tank), run over them, swing them against the concrete floor of a patio, use a small sledgehammer in order to bash them open to check them for candiosity, fire them from the cannoņata, drop them down the top of Mt. Erupto (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piņata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout (located at Piņata Central), with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; the cannoņata (also located at Piņata Central) is only used to shoot piņatas to piņata parties away from picturesque Piņata Island, and Mt. Erupto is an active volcano on Piņata Island {In the episode "Les Saves the Day...Again", Paulie Preztail says "Hey, ever wonder why this park's called 'Mount Erupto' anyway?", then Franklin Fizzlybear says "I think its an old native term. Means 'very safe.'"}), send them to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or inflict upon them punishments that a flashlight might have to have performed on them. So this section of the web page will be ***SIGNIFICANTLY*** more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

In fact, those photographs, spectrographic analyses, and videos located directly below may very well be "it".
