This product does not emit light of its own, so the standard review format will not be used (the content of this web page will be primarily a smattering of photographs!) and the product will not be assigned a rating.
This is a "communicator"-style badge (badge) like you might see on the television program Star Trek: The Next Generation.
It is made of an as-of-yet unknown metal alloy; it is only weakly magnetic, so that rules out straight iron, mild steel, nickel, gadolinium, and cobalt -- but it is much too heavy to be an aluminum alloy.
* This isn't the exact badge shown on this web page; the one on this web page (my badge) has two "pins" to hold it in place straight, while the one being sold at Amazon.com has only one.
(IMPORTANT!!!)
I've had this for quite a few years now, that's why it does not look brand spanken new in the above photograph!!!
SIZE
Photograph of the badge (pin) as it might be used.
Photograph of the underside of the badge, showing the two "pins" and the two fastening devices.
A video clip on YourTube showing how the communicator badge might be used.
I tap the comm. badge, then you can hear me say:
"Transporter room, beam me the H-E-Double-Bendy-Straws out of here".
This clip is approximately 37.009423454456 megabytes (37,230,742 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than one hundred eighty five (!) minutes to load at 48.0Kbps.
Another video clip on YourTube showing how the communicator badge might be used.
I tap the comm. badge, then you can hear me say:
"Transporter room, beam me the H-E-Double-Bendy-Straws out of here".
I am not equipped to add the "transporter" visual SFX, so this
video just shows me flickering once or twice and then disappearing.
This clip is approximately 0.6639145567422 megabytes (681,859 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than three minutes to load at 48.0Kbps.
