The 5x LED Flashlight is a small 5-LED flashlight in an aluminum body.

It features 5 white LEDs, feeds from three AAA cells held in a "side-by-side" carriage in the flashlight's barrel to keep the length down, and has a rubber covered pushbutton on the tailcap to turn its LEDs on and off.

It has a very attractive blue finish with shiny, horizontal accents encircling the bezel (head).

Press the rubber button on the tailcap until it clicks and then release it to turn the flashlight on, and press it the same way again to turn the flashlight off.

There is no momentary or "signalling" mode available when the flashlight is off; however you can blink the flashlight when it is on by partially depressing this button. If you don't mind the "backward" feeling of this, you can blink the flashlight this way.

To change the batteries in your flashlight, unscrew and remove the tailcap, dash it to the ground, and stomp on it with old or used bowling shoes...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

Tip the black plastic battery carriage out of the barrel and into your hand. If necessary, remove and dispose of or recycle the used cells if they are present in this carriage.

Insert three new AAA cells into the carriage, one in each compartment. Orient each cell so the flat-end (-) negative faces a spring for it in its compartment.

Once the carriage is full, insert it into the flashlight's barrel, aiming it so the (+) embossed into one end goes in first. Screw the tailcap back on, and be done with it.
Aren't you glad you didn't stomp on that tailcap now?

This does not appear to be an excceptionally sturdy or durable flashlight, but I believe the price is right. Can't go wrong there. You need not be ashamed to admit you own or use one, or even let other people see it when you whip it out.

This flashlight was a Christmas gift from my sister, so I won't try to drown it in the toliet tank, bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a carport in effort to try and expose the bare Metalmarineangemon - er - the bare Metaltrailmon - um that's not it either...the bare Metalsusanoomon...er...uh...wait a sec here...THE BARE METAL (guess I've been watching too much Digimon again! - now I'm just making {vulgar term for feces} up!!!), let my mother's big dog's ghost, her kitties, my kitty or my sister's kitty cat piddle (uranate) on it, hose it down with my mother's gun, run over it with a 450lb Quickie Pulse 6 motorised wheelchair, stomp on it, use a medium ball peen hammer in order to bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata, drop it down the top of Mt. Erupto (now I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout (located at Piñata Central {aka. "Party Central"}), with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; the cannoñata (also located at Piñata Central) is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island, and Mt. Erupto is an active volcano on Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analyses, or perform other indecencies on it that a flashlight that was not a gift from a family member or friend might have to have performed on it. Therefore, this section of the 5x LED Flashlight's web page will seem a bit more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

I did however, perform "The Suction Test" on it because this test is totally nondestructive. The flashlight did admit a significant amont of air when the tailcap was removed and the barrel was subsequently suctioned; though the amount was not nearly as much as it would be if the bezel were open. So, weather-resistant? To a degree, yes. That is, it should withstand a light rain for quite a bit of time before leaking, and falls into very shallow water (such as mud puddles) should not kill it either if you fish it out right away. However, try to keep this guy out of deeper water such as roadside ditches, ponds, creeks & streams, etc.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was given to me for Christmas in 2012. Because it was a gift, the "" icon will appear next to its listings on this website, and the potentially damaging or even destructive tests that I normally perform on flashlights will not be performed on it.
