AccentLED Medium-Base Warm White LED Light Bulb, retail $9.99 (www.feit.com...)
Manufactured by Feit Electric (www.feit.com)

This is a light bulb designed to be screwed into a medium-base light socket, and powered directly from 110 to 130 volts AC 60Hz.
It is advertised to consume only two piddling watts but output as much light as a 25 watt incandescent -- and from what I can determine from having it operating in my lamp on the night table, this is a good (if actually not a bit conservative!) approximation!!!
This bulb uses nine rather large chip-type warm white LEDs, all directed (aimed) at an angle of approx. 65° sideways and somewhat upward; there are three LEDs on each face of an upright triangular column safely behind the "flame-shaped", water-clear transparent "bulb".
SIZE
The bulb is ready to use as soon as you receive it. Screw it into any standard medium-base 110 to 130 volts AC receptacle.
Then, to borrow a phrase from a TV commercial, "plug it in, plug it in!"
For the purposes of this web page, I used a household desk lamp with a shade.
Since this product is designed to be operated from 110-130VAC, this section can be skipped.
This is an LED bulb, not a flashlight. So I won't slam it against a steel rod, try to drown it in the john, stomp on it, run over it with a 450lb electric Celebrilator thing (a Celebrity X3 Scooter), or subject it to other indecencies that a flashlight might be subject to.
Since this is a light bulb with a set purpose, I don't have a whole lot more to say about it.
This bulb uses nine rather large chip-type warm white LEDs, all directed (aimed) at an angle of approx. 65° sideways and somewhat upward.
The base of this bulb is E26 (26mm), which is the standard medium screw base that is used by household light bulbs in the United States.
After ~75 minutes of continuous operation, interior bulb temperature measured 125°F (51.7°C), while the exterior portion of the bulb topped out at 97°F (36.1°C).
Both measurements were performed on a CEM DT-8810 Noncontact IR Thermometer.
***VERY IMPORTANT!!!*** DO NOT under any circumstances use this bulb in a fixture equipped with a dimmer switch, whether the dimmer is in the fixture itself or on the wall controlling that fixture (usually a knob but sometimes lever-style like an ordinary switch). The bulb will overheat and fail if this is done. You don't want cockroach egg cases, baby brown recluse spiders, or mosquito wrigglers (larvae)...I mean...you don't want an unwanted fire.
The caution regarding using a dimmer is pretty much generic for any LED product powered by 110-130 volts AC; not just this bulb. Using this or any other 110-130 volts (or for that matter, 85-260 volts for viewers outside North America) AC LED product can result in overheating, failure, and possible fire because the AC waveform is altered by the circuitry in the dimmer, and AC line-powered LED products not using a step-down transformer tend to not do well with the altered AC waveform.
Picture showing the bulb lit in a household lamp.
The actual light has a warm, inviting glow to it -- cudos to Feit Electric for getting it right!!!
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in this bulb.
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in this bulb; spectrometer's response narrowed to a band between 440nm to 470nm to pinpoint native peak emission wavelength, which is 454.824nm.
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in this bulb; spectrometer's response narrowed to a band between 550nm to 610nm to pinpoint phosphor peak emission wavelength, which is 569.799nm.
