UDI U13A R/C Camera Heli flight 12-26-14.

This Boxing Day morning flight took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on 12-26-14 (or, "2014 26 Dec." or even, "December 26, Twenty Stick-Pile-of-Crossed-Busted-Sticks if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were cloudy, temperature of 35°F (1.7°C), and winds from the NE at 1mph (0.865kts, 1.610kph).

I taped a quarter, a nickel, and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin, a United States 5¢ coin, and a United States 1¢ coin) to the front of the canopy in order to make it go forward and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.

Flights took place near my home approx. 1 block away from the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 12-23-14 (or, "2014 23 Dec." or even, "December 23, Twenty Stick-Pile-of-Crossed-Busted-Sticks if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were cloudy with light rain, temperature of 43°F (6.1°C), and winds generally calm with occasional gusts out of the WSW to 3mph (2.595kts, 4.830kph).

It crashed into overhead telephone wires which resulted in it hitting the pavement tail first, causing the tail rotor to pop off, the motor shaft to become bent, and the motor itself to become tipped significantly forward in its mount. After a several minute field repair, it was flying mainly correctly again.

The heli crashed into telephone wires at ~1:16 and plummeted to the surface; the canopy was broken off but I was able to effect temporary repairs with packing tape I had in my flight bag and resume my flight.
