Thuh kompeny thaat maiks thuh Power Lite kant spel thuh werd "light", but I think they make a decent product.

This is a large LED flashlight that you never have to buy batteries for or find an outlet to plug a charger into. You just flip out the handy dandy handle, and wind it.
It has three white LEDs; you can run just one or all three with the use of a single pushbutton switch on the top of the product.

The wind-up rechargeable flashlight comes in an attractive plastic body, with rubber grips on the sides to help aid in retention when you're using or recharging the flashlight.

 SIZE

This flashlight comes to you almost ready to use. Remove it from the package the best way you see fit, unfold the crank, and wind it at two revolutions per second (120RPM) for ten minutes. This is to ensure the internal batteries are fully charged and ready to go.

Press the button on the top of the flashlight until it clicks and then release it to turn all three LEDs on. Press & release it again to turn the center LED on, and press & release the button a third time to turn the flashlight off.
Just like it reads on the back of many shampoo (or shampee) bottles, "lather, rinse, repeat". In other words, pressing & releasing the button again turns all three LEDs on again.

This product does not use disposable batteries, so this section really isn't needed.

To charge the built-in rechargeable cells when necessary, unfold the crank and wind it (in either direction) at 120RPM (two revolutions per second) for one minute, then fold the crank back onto the bottom of the flashlight body.

Because there are a number of moving mechanical parts inside this flashlight, "The Smack Test" really isn't that appropriate here.

Same with "The Toilet Test". So this section of the page will seem more bare than this section of the page on a page about a battery-operated (using disposable batteries or batteries that are externally recharged) flashlight.

The flashlight has grippy rubber pieces on each side, so retention (the ability to hold the flashlight when your hands are cold, oily, or wet) should not be an issue.

The handle on the end of the charging crank is rubber, and it's on a swivel, so it is easy to hang onto while charging the flashlight.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was purchased at a Longs Drugs in Sacramento CA. USA on 04-26-07.

Product was made in China. A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
