FEES FOR PRODUCT EVALUATIONS



 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY (11-03-08):
There is a ***MANDATORY*** $10.00 fee to have any product review/evaluation performed!!!
My parents (whom I live with for financial reasons) are insistent that I implement this charge.

EFFECTIVE 05-21-07: There will be an optional $50.00 fee to have any product review/evaluation performed.{*}

This is to help defray the cost of electricity, internet connectivity, and for my time.
***IN NO WAY WILL THIS AFFECT HOW I RATE A PRODUCT!!!***
I do this for the love of doing it; I simply cannot afford to do it the old way anymore.

This fee is a SUGGESTION, it is not a requirement!!!


 {*}This applies to manufacturers & retailers only, not to products sent by private individuals or products I have purchased myself for evaluation purposes.
It does not matter if you send one product or ten; the $50.00 is a flat rate.


Products in the "Coming Soon" section prior to 05-21-07 are exempt from this fee as well.
This also does not apply to LEDs in their feral state; only complete lighting products.
Finally, this also does not apply to items sent solely for spectroscopy.

This fee can be waived by special request; it is not carved in stone.

 The fee will help cover charges that I cannot currently afford: electricity @ ~$50.00 a month, internet @ ~$72.00 a month (~$50.00 for cable, $21.95 for dial-up necessary to access my email & host this website), purchasing things like test equipment, cameras, etc. and all of the time I spend performing evaluations, keeping this website updated, etc.

I live on a truly pitiful $518.00 per month SSA disability stipend; just the rent alone is $700.00 a month, so you can see where this is going.
