SPECTRA OF LOW-POWERED VIOLET LEDS (4)

This web page will be for nothing but spectra of 10mm, 8mm, 5mm, 3mm, and SMD LEDS (driven at 20mA to 60mA):

Ocean Optics USB2000 Spectrometer donated by P.L.
As of 10-10-07, I've been using a PC2000-ISA Spectrometer from Ocean Optics that I received several years ago, but that I didn't have a home for until now.
As of 03-08-08, I once again have the USB2000 spectrometer, enabling color spectra again.
As of 09-19-09, I no longer have the PC2000-ISA; it was sold to prevent an eviction.

VIOLET LEDs

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a T1¾ (5mm) violet LED; Radio Shack # 276-0014.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a YesLED.com "420nm" "UV" LED.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the violet LED in the Computer Case LED "UFO"; newer spectrometer software settings used.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in the Violet LED Computer Case Light; newer spectrometer software settings used.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in the Violet LED Computer Case Light; newer spectrometer software settings used. Spectrometer's input deliberately "overloaded" to show the spectral feature (a broadband hump) in the visible that failing violet & UV LEDs emit.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a third unknown-type 5mm NUV LED.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a third unknown-type 5mm NUV LED; lamp deliberately aimed off-axis to show fluorescence of its epoxy body.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a second unknown-type 5mm NUV LED.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of an unknown-type 5mm NUV LED.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the NUV LEDs in the Cliplight 'Vector 4' NUV Inspection Light; yet newer spectrometer software & settings used.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the NUV LEDs in the Cliplight 'Vector 4' NUV Inspection Light; spectrometer's response narrowed to a range between 380nm and 420nm to pinpoint peak wavelength; which appears to be 404.90nm.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the NUV LED in the 8 in 1 LED Card.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LED in the UV Micro Light
.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LED (glowstick mode) in the Life+Gear Glow 200 Flashlight (White & Violet LEDs).

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LED (glowstick mode) in the Life+Gear Glow 400 Flashlight (White & Violet LEDs).

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of a 5mm NUV LED of unknown pedigree.

Spectrographic analysis
Repeat spectrographic analysis of the LED in the AB UV Glo Lite Mod.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the NUV LED in the Laserpod (little-used second unit tested).
Spectrometer's response set to a band between 360nm and 420nm to show UVA emission only.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the NUV LEDs in the White/UV LED Laser Module Torch (1); newer spectrometer software & settings used.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of an unknown-type 5mm NUV LED.

Spectrographic analysis
Spectrographic analysis of the LEDs in the 4-LED NUV Light.

Do you manufacture or sell an LED flashlight, task light, utility light, or module of some kind? Want to see it tested by a real person, under real working conditions? Do you then want to see how your light did? If you have a sample available for this type of real-world, real-time testing, please contact me at ledmuseum@gmail.com.

Please visit this web page for contact information.

Unsolicited flashlights, LEDs, and other products appearing in the mail are welcome, and it will automatically be assumed that you sent it in order to have it tested and evaluated for this site.
Be sure to include contact info or your company website's URL so visitors here will know where to purchase your product.
