THE AMAZING RAINBOW
PUMPKIN LIGHT

The Amazing Rainbow Pumpkin Light, retail $3.99 ()

This is a color-changing light designed for you to put inside a Halloween Jack'O Lantern (carved pumpkin); it is meant to replace candles and thus, make the Jack'O Lantern safe and windproof. It is a flat, circular device that has three LEDs (1 each red, green, blue) that perform a smooth color wash effect - displaying seven colors and then repeating the cycle.

They are designed with batteries that are meant to be replaceable, so you can use them year after year.

The Amazing Rainbow Pumpkin Light will very likely make your Jack'O Lantern scary enough that you might have to hose little puddles of urine off your porch on November 01 - yes, this is a GOOD thing for a Halloween product.

 SIZE

Press and release the pushbutton switch on the side of the product to turn it on.

Press & release it the same way again to turn it off.

Turn the unit upside-down, and remove the three battery doors.

If necessary, remove and dispose of or recycle the three AAA cells from their compartments.

Insert a new AAA cell in each compartment, orienting them so the flat-end (-) negative of each cell faces the spring for it in each compartment.

Place the three battery doors back on, and there, all finished.

Unable to measure current usage due to how the product was constructed and how it functions.

This product is made entirely of plastic (the outer portions anyway), so "The Smack Test" would not be very appropriate.

The product is also not too water-resistant; there are no O-rings or other environmental seals visible in it. Clean them with a damp cloth before storage - that ought to be kosher with them.

They do appear durable enough that slightly manhandling them (dropping them a short distance) should not cause any harm to befall them.

Photograph of the unit in its "on" state; blue & green LEDs.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was loaned to me by my sister on 10-09-06, who intends to install them (she purchased two of them) in Jack'O Lanterns in a few weeks.

Product was made in China. A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
