USB LED CHRISTMAS TREE

USB LED Christmas Tree, retail $5.45 (www.myvirtualzone.com...)
Manufactured by (Unknown) for My Virtual Zone (www.myvirtualzone.com)

This is a USB powered LED Christmas tree, designed to be plugged into any free USB port on a desktop or laptop computer. The goal of it is to give your computer room or office a little Christmas cheer. The tree includes a metallic gold star on top.

The tree slowly & smoothly changes colors - please see the video clip of it I made (farther down this web page) to see what I mean here.

The unit comes prepped with a 40" USB cable, terminated in a standard male USB plug.

 SIZE

To use the USB Christmas Tree, just remove it from the package and plug it into any free USB port on your laptop or desktop computer. Yes, it really is that easy.

This light is "hot swappable", meaning you do not have to turn your computer off before plugging it in or unplugging it. Most USB devices are hot swappable, so no surprise here.

This product is meant to be used as a decorative computer preipherial in a dry area, not as a flashlight meant to be carried around, thrashed, and abused, so I won't try to drown it in the toilet tank, bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a patio, let my housemate's citty kats go to the litterbox on it, run over it with a 450lb Celebrity motorised wheelchair, or perform other indecencies on it that a regular flashlight might have to have performed on it. So this section of the web page will be significantly more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

The tree on my desk - turned on of course.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit of this was purchased on the internet on 12-01-06, and was received on the afternoon of 12-08-06.

Product was made in China. A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
