This LED-lighted ballpoint pen, labelled "Light Pen" on the package, is a ballpoint pen in a plastic body, that features a blue LED in the upper half of the pen that shines through an acrylic diffuser in the barrel.

The ballpoint pen writes with black ink, and works whether the LED is on or not.

 SIZE

Remove the translucent, milky white cap from the top of the pen first.

Press the button on the top of the pen until it clicks and then release it to activate the LED.
Do the same thing to shut off.

When finished with the light, place the translucent cap back over the button on the top; this helps prevent it from "going off" during storage or transport.

To write with the pen, grasp it by the barrel on the clear portion near the center of the barrel with one hand, and near the writing end with the other, and give it a gentle clockwise twist. The tip will extend. It writes in black ink, with the quality of a very good disposable pen.
Grasp the unit as above and give it a gentle counterclockwise twist to retract the pen tip when you're finished using it.

This product appears to be disposable, so I don't have to tell you which part to remove and flush away, then tell you *NOT* to.

This is a pen meant to be used as a pen in a dry area, not as a flashlight meant to be carried around, thrashed, and abused, so I won't try to drown it in the toilet, bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a patio, let my sisters kitty cats go to the bathroom on it, run over it with a 450lb Celebrity motorised wheelchair, or perform other indecencies on it that a regular flashlight might have to go through. So this section of the web page will be significantly more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

The pen is not water resistant, so a concerted effort should be made to keep it from falling in the toilet or drowing under your lawn sprinkler. If water does get in, just open it up and dry out all the parts, and it should be fine.

The pen portion seems to be on par with any of the more expensive disposables available, and it writes with black ink.

Blue LED illuminated.

A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
