The I-Sight® Special Ops Twin Ear Light is a little LED light that is fastened to your ear so that you can read or perform other tasks in darkness.

It's called the "Twin Ear Light" because it has not just one, but two LEDs. A single Nichia white LED for reading, and a green LED (probably also Nichia) for a bit of increased intensity (to the eye anyway) at the cost of color rendition. Green light is also said to cooperate well with night vision equipment.

Electrically, to use the I-Sight® Special Ops Twin Ear Light, slide the slide switch on the back of the product up (as the illuminator head faces forward and the part with "I-Sight®" embossed into it faces the right) to get white light.

Slide this switch all the way down to get green light.

Slide the same switch to the center position to turn the product all the way off.

To hook it to your ear, swing the triangular loop out a bit, and gently press it over your earlobe. Part of this triangular loop should now be inside your earlobe, as the photograph below indicates.

The illuminator head may be swivelled over a range of ~45° (I do not own or have access to an instrument for measuring angles - yes, even a simple protractor would suffice here, so this is only an "eyeballed" value!)

I'd have normally used a "Phoam Hed Phred" (styrofoam wig modelling form) for this photograph, but my parents forced me to throw it in the dustbin (garbage can) in December 2008 prior to us moving from Sacramento CA. USA to Federal Way WA. USA around New Years Day 2009.

To change the batteries, turn the unit upside-down. You'll see a circular hatch secured with a small screw. Using a small phillips screwdriver (the #0 with a 1.60mm shaft diameter from my set of jeweller's screwdrivers worked well here), unscrew and remove this screw. Go outside and chuck the tiny screw into the nearest open-pit copper or indium mine so that it becomes buried and subsequently lost...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

Lift off the circular hatch, and set that aside too.

Tip the two used CR2032 lithium coin cells into your hand, and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.

Insert two new CR2032 cells into the chamber, orienting both of them so that their button-ends (-) negatives face down toward the bottom of the chamber.

Place the battery hatch back on, and reinsert & gently tighten that screw.

The Twin Ear Light is designed to be fastened to your ear, not used as a super sturdy "barrel-style" flashlight in a metal body that won't mind you abusing it. So I won't throw it against the wall, stomp on it, try to drown it in the {vulgar term for feces}bowl or the cistern, run over it, swing it against the concrete floor of a front porch, use a large claw hammer to bash it open in order to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout (located at Piñata Central), a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or a pack-of-cards-sized instrument that Fergy Fudgehog uses; and the cannoñata (also located at Piñata Central) is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or inflict upon it punishments that a flashlight in a metal or sturdier plastic body may have inflicted upon it.
