If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times.
Are you tired of getting the Christmas light strands out every year, only to find some of the bulbs broken so you have to throw the defective strings in the garbage can?
Fed up with trying to find the burnt out bulb that makes the whole string go dark?
Struggling and straining only to burn, destroy, and leave wrinkles everyw -- oops, wrong infomercial. :-)

This Christmas light set from Target stores features 60 LEDs, in red, orange, yellow, and yellowish-green; they're on a dark green cord to help it blend in with your Christmas tree or other Christmas decorations you might put it on. And there are faceted plastic star-shaped lenses over each LED.

These lights are ready to use as soon as you take them out of the box. No horse puckey here. ;-)

The light set is mounted to a plastic frame. Remove the light set from this frame as you see fit - usually you do this by pulling on the plug-end gently, and each LED lamp and its attaching wire should come right out of the plastic frame.

Decorate with these as you might normally do with ordinary miniature light sets. Put them on your Christmas tree, put them in your window, or just hang them off the ceiling in your apartment or dorm room for that special Christmas feel all year-round.

Because this is a 120VAC powered product, this section can and will be skipped.

The LEDs in this light set appear to run about as bright as the LEDs in other sets; except the green LEDs, which seem dimmer than they should be. They have star-shaped lenses, which give a "twinkly" effect to whatever decoration you have them on.

This set is UL listed for both indoor and outdoor use, so you can hang them on your house's eaves or on bushes in the yard if you wish. It has a female socket at the other end, so you can connect several strings end-to-end.

The set comes with two extra LED bulbs (complete with star-shaped lenses) and two extra fuses, just in case.

Because I just got this light set today (12-03-03), I don't yet have any more information for this page.

Picture of the set still in its plastic frame. You should never leave incandescent
sets in their frame while lighted up, but you can do this with LED-based light sets.

TEST NOTES:
Test sample of this set was provided by a website fan who lives in Philadelphia PA. These light sets should be available at Target stores throughout the United States; I can't get to the local Target to verify this however.

UPDATE: 12-23-03
I took the set out of the frame to put around a doorframe a few minutes ago (around 7:00pm PST), and the very last lamp in the set somehow came out and went flying. Installing one of the spare bulbs in the empty socket cured the problem, but I don't know where the original one went. I heard it hit something in the room, but I don't know what, or where it went.
Oh THERE it is!!! I'll just put it in the spare lamp bag now, so I'll have it if an LED in the set really does burn out.

UPDATE: 04-08-04
I've had this light string up and running most of the time since just before Christmas of 2003 (about 3 1/2 months as of now), and have no problems to report.

UPDATE: 10-08-04
I've had this light set running continuously since late-December 2003, and I have no real problems to report. The set did go out in June or July, but I quickly traced it to a lamp that had worked loose or had possibly gotten caught in something and pulled loose. When the lamp was pushed all the way into its receptacle, that lamp and the rest of the set came back on, and has stayed on since.

UPDATE: 12-26-09
Below is a photograph of these lights hung with several other sets of LED Christmas lights.
