Somewhat "craptacular" flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
Flights took place in the rear parking lot of the Sears store near S. 320th St. and 17th St. S. in Federal Way WA. USA on 11-08-12 {or "08 Nov. 2012" or even "Nov. 08, Twenty Stick-Very-Twirly-Stick" if you prefer}.
Conditions at flight time were mostly clear, VFR, winds NNW to 6 kts (6.905mph; 11.11kph), and a temperature of 31°F (-0.55°C).

Good (not excellent, but not sh**ty or even mediocre either) post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
Flights took place at the socker fields inside Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 10-07-12.
Softball practise was beginning; this is evident not only because of the players on the socker field, but because a batted softball crashed into the steering tiller of my scooter (which you can see & hear near the end of the first segment), breaking the newly-installed dashboard clock into four pieces -- however, this was an easy on-the-spot repair once I located all four pieces it busted into.
Weather at flight time was sunny & clear, temperature 52°F (11.1°C); flight conditions were VFR (visual flight rules).

These will very probably (not certainly, but probably) be my last flights of 2012 because rain is in the forecast and the long-term forecast calls for continuous rain. My next opportunity to fly any R/C aircraft outdoors will likely be in April or May 2013 ('2013' is aka. 'Twenty stick-boobs')

Video content is the same as http://youtu.be/UMeLac47-ug but without zax because not everybody who comes to Butt-Head...er...uh...COMES TO YOUTUBE to watch R/C aircraft vidz is a metalhead and would appreciate the unwelcome earwhipping.

OK (but somewhat brief) post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
The flight battery is being replaced within two to three days. Also, I once again adjusted the trim to move the CG forward a bit; this gave me a more stable flight.
It was flying OK until it collided with it's radio's antenna, causing it to careen into some plastic wheelie bins (outdoor wheeled garbage cans) {note the very obviously bent antenna shortly after the first flight and at launch of the second flight}.

Great post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
The flight battery has had hundreds of charge/discharge cycles, which is why the flight time is significantly shorter than it would be with a new flight battery. Also, I adjusted the trim to move the CG forward a bit; this gave me a more stable flight.
Flights took place at the socker fields inside Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 10-01-12.

A decent (but somewhat brief) post-repair flight of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
Like I mentioned in the last video, the flight battery (borrowed from my Guillows Tuffoam™ P-38 Lightning) has powered hundreds of flights with that airplane; I'll be purchasing a new flight battery for this one in early-October 2012 so my flights should improve significantly after that.
Flight took place at a baseball diamond inside Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 09-28-12.
At the end of this vid, the Avanti flew over a fence and crashed into the stands; breaking the starboard canard (which I was rather easily able to repair on the spot with some transparent packing tape that I brought along).
Weather at flight time was high overcast, temperature 52°F (11.1°C); flight conditions were VFR (visual flight rules).

More OK (not stellar but not {vulgar slang term for a fece}ty either) post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
The flight battery (borrowed from my P-38 Lightning R/C "Park Flyer" Airplane) has powered hundreds of flights with that airplane; I'll be purchasing a new flight battery for this one in early-October 2012 so my flights should improve significantly after that.
Flights took place at a baseball diamond inside Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 09-27-12.
Weather at flight time was medium fog, temperature 48°F (8.9°C); flight conditions were IFR (instrument flight rules) for real aircraft, but barely VFR (visual flight rules) for R/C aircraft.

OK (not stellar but not s****y either) post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
It flies considerably faster than I though that it would; left & right response is also quite a bit more sensitive than any of my other two-motor R/C aircraft.
Flights took place at a baseball diamond inside Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 09-26-12.

Surprisingly good post-repair flights of my Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.

Attempted flights of my poor wounded Guillows Tuffoam™ P180 Avanti "Park Flyer" Airplane.
Flight attempts took place at Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA on the morning of 09-22-12.
Temperature at flight time was 49°F (9.4°C).
I would have normally flown in another part of the park, but all four baseball diamonds and all three socker fields were in use.
The high-voltage (500,000 volts and 250,000 volts) transmission lines overhead did not appear to affect the functionality of the plane's radio (that is to say, EMI {electromagnetic interference} did not appear to play a significant role in the airplane's inability to fly).
The part of the video showing me retrieving the Avanti and pausing is where I noted that the port wingtip had become broken (where's the "tuff" in "Tuffoam"?), however it was very easily repaired with some transparent packing tape when I arrived back home after the flight attempts.
