The Light-Up Red "Star" Ring is a ring featuring a red plastic "star" that hosts a dirty little secret: A red LED inside the "star" turns on and causes the "star" to light up a brilliant red when you twist the "star".

It is intended to be used at 4th of July parties, fireworks shows, or other patriotic events where the lighting is subdued.

The ring portion (the part that fits your finger); although made of hard plastic, has an open bottom so it should accomodate a somewhat narrow range of finger sizes (it fits -- {albiet a bit tightly} -- my pinkie finger, but it's too tight to fit my ring finger).

It appears to be disposable (actually, it indicates so right on the back of the packaging materials).

SIZE

Place the ring on your finger much like you'd put any other ring on.

Turn the "star" clockwise (as though tightening it) to activate it.

Turn the "star" counterclockwise {anticlockwise} (as though loosening it) to neutralise (turn off) the ring.

This ring is disposable, so I don't have to tell you which part to remove, carry to an open-pit copper or gadolinium mine, instruct you to huck it in there so that a front-end loader runs over it & causes it to 'destruct', and then rather emphatically tell you not to.

This was intended to be a disposable product, so even if you do manage to break it, just throw it away and go get another one. At 99˘ apiece, it really isn't that expensive.

Because this is a disposable ring and not a flashlight meant to be thrashed and abused, I won't try to drown it in the toilet, smash it against a concrete sidewalk, throw it against a wall, stomp on it, sit down hard on it, huck it into an open grave, or otherwise abuse it. So this portion of the web page will be more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

The ring produces a distinct beam that is directional, so it may be used as an emergency flashlight should that become necessary.
