Flights of my Syma S031G R/C Coaxial Helicopter (new vers. with Li:Po battery).

Flights took place near my home on Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on 08-22-14 (or, "2014 22 Aug." or even, "August 22, Twenty Stick-Pile-of-Crossed-Busted-Sticks if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were moderate fog, temperature of 51°F (11.1°C), and winds calm with gusts out of the WSW at 2mph (1.73kts, 3.22kph).

I had to keep my altitude fairly low because this is a rather restrictive place to fly (insomuch as square footage, traffic, and etc.) and I had overhead telephone, CATV, and electric power wires to contend with.

This video is silent because the camera I used had its mic become busted after a nosefirst crash several weeks or so ago.

At the end of this video, I crashed into a mailbox and busted one of the main rotor blades; however I do indeed have spares at my disposal.

The heli experienced mid-air blade strike, breaking off one of the main rotor blades, which is why this flight is so brief.

I highly suspect that the heli experienced a sudden downdraft, causing one of the lower rotor blades to strike the camera (thus neutralising it) and bounce upward into the path of the counterrotating upper blades which subsequently caused it to strike one of the upper blades and thus become destroyed. I have already ordered replacement main rotor blades, which should arrive here in very early-July 2014, after which my flights can resume.
