LED-eshop.de BG-490-515 Blue-Green LED
Received 11-13-08, tested 11-18-08

This is a 5mm round through-hole LED that emits a rather greenish-blue light. Peak wavelength appears to be 495.1nm - *VERY CLOSE* to where it ought to be.

This is what I'd term as "Tokyo blue" - the color (or "colour" if you prefer) is what you might expect to see in the "green" part of traffic signals in Japan - it's green enough to be viewed as green by drivers, and blue enough to be visible to people with what's termed as red/green color blindness.

LED-eshop.de O-605-556/C Orange LED
Received 11-13-08, tested 11-14-08

This is a 5mm round through-hole LED that emits an orange light. It is just a bit longer in wavelength than what I'd term as "neon nightlight orange". Peak wavelength appears to be 611.6nm - a bit long, but not unreasonably so.

Beam photograph on the test target at 12".
Intensity measures 820mcd on a Meterman LM631 light meter.
This is a wide viewing angle LED, and if I've told you once, I've told you 2,458,770 times:
Wider viewing angles always, always, ALWAYS equal lower mcd values.

Vf (forward voltage) is 1.932 volts at 19.28mA.
Viewing angle is 56°.

Viewing angle is too large for me to perform a beam cross-sectional analysis of this particular LED.
